This one-day learning event is an essential guide to negotiating, acquiring and developing an asset. Suitable for all rural social and community enterprise practitioners interested using a building or other asset for long-term community benefit, the day covers everything you need to know but thought it was too expensive to ask!

Highly personalised sessions from experienced charity lawyers, the Ethical Property Foundation and the DTA will help you explore the law related to property and asset development and apply it to YOUR project to ensure long lasting viability not liability.

The event is free to rural social and community organisations in the South West and lunch is included. Bursaries are also available to cover the cost of travel. Places are available for those whose job it is to support rural social and community organisations at £75 per place.

Please note that this course is only 12 minutes in a car from Tiverton Parkway Station and the M5 but is in a very rural location. Detailed instructions will be sent prior to the course. If you are travelling by public transport and will require a taxi from the statio please contact J.Wainwright@dta.org.uk to arrange to meet other participants.

Please also note that the venue is on a farm and  may be muddy so is unsuitable for high heels or very smart shoes! Please bring sensible walking shoes and waterproof clothing if you would like to explore the woods and grounds during breaks and lunchtime.
